Sorry for the amateur question…do you think i could get a higher kv motor in there without replacing the ecs? Ie: a cheapo "surpass hobby" 3650 7700kv? For not much more i can go for the 120a ecs combo.

Wow! I didnt know there was a v2 of this car.
Luckily having a V1 anyone can buy motor+support+19t already mounted and from the factory. Swap is really simple and the cost is around 20 euros. You still keep old transmitter, but the range is longer than my eyes field so, it is ok. Unfortunately V2 the most of the time is shipped in a big white box and not in the carton. So it is in any case a bargain to me. Thank you for you nice and interesting videos

It sounds more loud than V1 and less smooth – is that true, does the higher gear make it louder because of increased rpm; or is that just my imagination?

Do you prefer the size of 124017 over 144001? Wondering if there’s any differences in the performance or handling due to size. Thinking of buying the 124017 v2 or waiting for the brushless 144001 to come out. Thanks!
Will the V2 have a lower top speed because of the gearing? I haven't seen any 3s speed runs with the V2

Nothing with wheels smaller than a 1:10 monster truck should be run on GRASS unless it is something like a golf green! Taking anything geared for speed and running on a high drag surface like grass is just ASKING FOR OVER HEATING PROBLEMS! The ONLY RC I own that EVER gets run on grass is my monster truck with large wheels and a two speed transmission! Do you ever bring a temp gun with you and check motor temps or just keep overheating the motors until you destroy the magnets due to continual overheating or bake the enamel off of the motor windings? THAT CAR WAS NEVER INTENDED TO RUN ON TYPICAL GRASS, HOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT?
Thinking of getting into the RC thing like this car seen other videos on YouTube going from 2s to 3s I assume it's to do with the batteries what's best to buy this car with 1 battery and buy 3s batteries or what bit lost does 3s give more speed and running time thanks ?

Considering buying this as my first RC. However as a beginner I'm thinking maybe its TOO fast to control in the beginning. Can I adjust the topspeed in the controller. If I have a smaller place to race it feels like it will just smash into walls with that acceleration. Better buy another car or what do you recommend?

I've got one of these and upgraded to a hobby wing 120A esc and surpass 4300 kv and honestly I can't run a whole pack through it without tearing something up. It's super fast but fragile, If they had a 1/8 scale on this platform it would be awesome.
