  1. Ace👍 I going to add one of those to my collection for me and my daughter to take out, so she can get to grips with a car without me biting my nails down to the quick 😁

  2. A great build, I will, be interested to see how you get on with the paint job,😀😀😀

  3. darkiee69 says:

A piece of weather strip on the servo tray might keep the batteries in place?

  4. Eric Wood says:

I’m interested to see how you tackle the body, I’ve never done one like that . Good video Gav

  5. viper 76 says:

I might buy it simply because they had the balls to give it a mechanical speed control in 2020

  6. Looking forward to seeing how the Hot Rod and the banger perform as tarmac bashers. I love the look of them and would love to give it a go and get one – but I don't want to end up stuck with a car that's no good on anything but carpet. Need to see how they go first please Gav and Kamtec.

  7. Dave Lucas says:

Hi if you search on you tube. Havant rc bangers you can see them in action its good fun for all ages

  8. Who Me says:

U think a 68 GT body is probability? Thoughts of holidays

  9. Who Me says:

Are the rc kits more fragile than other hobby rcs

  10. Who Me says:

    Can't find them

  11. park fleming says:

Boy those are cool. have never seen those before. Are they available in the US?

  12. OMG 8:38 my heart stopped, watching you drill with your finger underneath the drillbit.

  13. Interesting little kit with simple suspension and driveline. I'm looking forward to the finished Jag! Breaking news – "RcKicks main suspect in the ToyTown Bank Job" well, it had to be – the S type shell looks close enough to an old Mk.2; beloved getaway car of the British mobster! Mind you the Mk.1 Granada was used in later episodes of the Sweeney (after the Ford Consul).. Maybe you're lining up to play cops & robbers? "SHUT IT!" 😀

  14. Hi Gavin great vid again. Found a 2017 bigwig nib for £250 is it worth the money cheers.

Manual speed controllers are excellent for this formula, after all you don't want to hit your opponent slowly do you ? Yep, re bodyshells, might as well cut them out as they're meant to be done. Don't be nervous just trace around the windows with a pencil first, then score with a sharp knife . Next score again a little deeper, now go through on one side and apply pressure, the window will 'pop' out. Don't bother with dremels or such this way is quicker and more precise, I must have done close to a thousand of them over the years.

  16. MrVolvobloke says:

Bangers ain't just for the kids let me tell you ! Lol.

  17. J.T R C says:

unless you have a indoor carpet track near you that do banger/oval racing then they are just paperweights!!

  18. Matt Jones says:

Random question. I want to put up shelving like yours – what is the gap between the vertical rails?

  19. Now THAT looks like a great idea for my 5 and 8yr old Grandbabies!! Does look tough.
I would definitely fit an ESC, so it's not running away every time they plug in. (I have "fond" memories of MSCs in the 80's!)😖

But as a Yank, I'm at a loss….. WHAT'S A BANGER?? It's not like Demolition Derby, is it?

  20. RC Birds says:

Hmmm, that's really an option. I thought about giving each lf my granddaughters a DT-03. But now I'm thinking about this. Anf off-road car would probably better, but a destruction derby is much cooler. The bodies remind me to the hulls of my boats.

  21. BADGER says:

MY DREMEL IS ALWAYS RIIIIGHT BY MY SIDE, MY BEST FRIEND REALLY -WELL, MY ONLY FRIEND. MAN, IM LONELY! JK JK. AWESOME VIDEO MATE!

  22. there is a RC racing channel for the RC bangers and Stock Cars
    https://www.youtube.com/user/BMBSCCbangerclub

  23. Scott Norton says:

That MSC is much like the one in the Super Shot

  24. BRS RC says:

    That's a cool little car

  25. I wonder how much power the mechanical speed controller can take before the wires melt

  26. Corran Helme says:

Isn't the whole point of a banger race, to deform the bodies of the vehicles for dramatic effect and to survive? Id prefer to see RC cars with realistic but deformable bodies.

  27. Ace Report says:

Doesn’t look like they ship outside of the UK unless you contact them directly but these look extremely interesting. My kids (and I) would love to have some of those.

  28. As a Kamtec user and RC Banger Racer, well done for your video, Ive built a few and raced a few, the battery being loose is because you are using a 6 cell where as we use a standard 4 cell and does fit and hold down with the bolts on the top plate adjacent to the two square holes fixed with two 3mm bolts and nuts with a nylon round spacer. The manual speed controller isn’t as fierce when a 4 cell battery is used.

  29. Dave Jones says:

KTech Signs are superb… Can't recommend them enough.

  30. Dave Jones says:

Cool tune playing during the build by the way…. what is it?

  31. tommy dommer says:

    Will they ship to Canada?

  32. Old school tamiya fans will remember those speedo set ups. Very good for running to much battery and motor! Orings are what I used back in the day to hold in batteries.

  33. Currently building the kit. The instruction manual is terrible, vague pictures, parts in bags not labelled correctly. Having to watch this build on here multiple times to get it built. Coming from a background of MRI installation and medical equipment manufacture the documentation level is shocking.

  34. Todd Leavitt says:

Been watching all your tamiya videos. Over 20 years ago I built a tamiya 4WD rally car and a team associated RC10T and just within the last 3 months got back into RC vehicles(after retiring from the Army, divorced, new relationship crashed, inpatient VA TBI program and now back home). I am thinking in a bit to get a kit and build it just not sure which one yet. But on top of that my grand father had an Austin Healey 3000 and back when Zia had the RC vehicles 20 years ago my parents found a Austin Gealey body shell for 1/10 scale rc and now I am looking for a new one do you know anyone or anyplace that I might be able to get one or 2. Thank you love your videos.

  35. ReeceBmX says:

Can you please do a build tutorial in real time because I can't keep up with this speed

  36. My banger tv car has a stuck throttle and I don’t know what to do

  37. Far out that is so cool, having a budget on road car. I may go and present thus to my club.
