Please can you tell what smoke machine do you use?? I also design stuff like you and it would be really easy with that. Thnx😁🙌

  2. J-N-H-M says:

thumbs up but im not sure why …. um .. keep at it ?

  3. I'm making some aerodynamic improvements on my rc f1 project car and this video really helped me!

  4. SHoCK! says:

If you want to do something like aero tunnel, place a big fan behind the car, so it can suck the air, and then you can turn on the smoke machine. And you will see where you can improve the downforce. But still, huge amount of downforce on this little car, and huge amount of time spent on the developing. Perfect job

Everyone that has mastered slip angle:

    triggered

Excellent test, subbed. But you don’t need that much speed nor large wings to see the downforce effect. All you need is a better test environment. We race touring cars: https://youtu.be/lBhyLgPF2Ho The cars we race only have one small rear wing and has a top speed of 45km/h or 28mph, but we can clearly feel and notice the downforce. If we unmount the wing we can’t go nearly as fast around the track, we lose maybe 3-5 seconds lap time. We can even feel the difference between different touring car bodies.

  7. I feel like I'm in Forza horizon

  8. the road actually not nice for rc..so much dust and rock

  9. Robert McKay says:

With the f1 sound it was epic!

  10. Jefferyl22 says:

From what I understand the primary thing about cars aerodynamics is keeping as much air as possible from getting under the car. Like keeping that front air dam/wing as low as possible.
Take a look at some of the Pikes Peak cars made to run in lower density atmosphere.

  11. All you are creating with those wings is little bit of downforce and just purely drag because downforce is mostly created by suction or low pressure and not high pressure(2nd edit by this I mean that downforce is mostly created at the underside of the wing instead of the top surface because the underside creates suction/low pressure). In those wing designs they have too much angle of attack especially the front wing causing the air to not properly attach to the underside surface surface of the wing, you should search coanda effect. Also the downforce created by the wings should be equal because if the rear wing creates much more downforce, the rear of the car goes down more and counters the downforce of the front wing causing it to udnersteer, so you should also look at the balance of the aero. ( 1st edit https://youtu.be/e02foT8-DdA I recommend this video and channel for those interested in learning more about aerodynamics. 3rd edit, also you cna trust this channel because he was an aerodynamicist for Mercedes AMG Formula 1 team)

can you please tell me where you get your rocket engine firecrackers from I have got inspiration from your videos to make something myself, but I can't find any rocket engine firecrackers?

  13. Jo Morken says:

maybe take an actual scale F1 car as a starting point, as it will be aerodynamically correct

  14. Great channel, just discovered you. Please take a look at the chaparral cars from the 70s. They were wild times until they were banned. Keep experimenting buddy!

  15. Marc Solé says:

    What car is he using?

  16. Aero does work on rc cars. Otherwise the scale racers would all have the same boxy body, not new wings and tweaks every year or so.

  17. Yunomi says:

ngl ur hair looked kinda sick in the wind

  18. stormhawk31 says:

You should've used the standard bodywork as a control.

  19. Nicholas S says:

Have you looked up the illegal Race car design?

  20. dvrk says:

well just look at a slot racing wing car…

  21. Luiz Gustavo says:

this guy actually did a ground effect RC car! find it on his list

  22. Adam Badura says:

what is this little camera on rc car?

  23. With ground affect mostly and Aerodynamics

  24. Larry Temen says:

Why didn’t you compare the stock body to your made body?

  25. JM 3D says:

This Rc car is like Audi Quattro S1 gr. B hahahaha

Another great one as usual thank you so much for sharing

  28. Glen Downer says:

The quicker time round the bend would have also been greatly affected by the fact the road was dry, instead of wet in the first test. Surprised you didn't mention that (or I missed it if you did). We run wings on our off-road 10th scale racing buggies, and at that scale you need to be doing 30mph+ before they even have any kind of effect. I suspect with that scale of vehicle it'll be a little lower, but you'd still need to be travelling at some rate of knots to have any profound effect.

  29. lowkey213 says:

I have the same car and have tried ground effects skirts with half ass success… in this case, your front wing is forcing too much air over the car, that air is pulling the rear wing into that air flow, and the drag behind the rear wing is helping it along. If you go fast enough, you will only have the front wheels touching the road.

This looks similar to engineering after hour's video…https://youtu.be/6BUtn0xp6AE

  31. Wierd seeing the place you lived all your life in a video recorded by a guy you've been watching for well over a year this is up taddington tops between taddington and chelmorton

  32. Fire nutter says:

with the idea of grip in mind since that is quite a rc car as it came stock did you consider buying replacement tires? its just going those speeds long term can place some wear on the tires even for a smal one from what i herd
