local town RC racing still exists?!?!?!
I am from Ely, Cambs, Indoor 1.10 carpet racing was very popular here, But now everything has dried up ๐Ÿ™
Where abouts is this racing held?

  4. Becky Taylor says:

Tamiya got more value for money out of the Manta Ray chassis than anything else, ever. I never had one; I had the Bearhawk, which I later sold to a friend, and then I bought a Vanquish which I still have, in a very upgraded form! A few others in my attic like my Schumacher Storm, the Tamiya Jeep Wrangler and an original Hornet.

  9. Rc Addict says:

Good vintage car footage. Carpet keeps them nice and clean.

  10. Jacob Rossow says:

I still have my 1st gen nitro rustler 2.5. I don't think it has any original parts except the transmission. I beat that thing to hell and it still works great.

  11. Jonny D says:

Thats a really cool video. Reminds me of my RC10 gold pan by Team Associated. Do you have one of those that you could run again? Id love to see a video of that.

  12. Can you race a 144001 in this division? Hoping to see it in a race

  13. Really enjoyed that, so cool ro see racing like this still going on

  14. Still got my Tamiya cars in the garage , beatties bags too ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

  15. virtious8 says:

Brings back memories. Manta Ray > Top Force > Top Force Evo. Which one you got depended on how much money you had.

  16. Hey mate question, are vintage or older ones still worth something , I keep getting told if comply shut down no parts but arnt most Universal as long as sized up to whatver ?

  17. D Man says:

They look like they handle well for a retro rc

  18. Eric Bullock says:

I wanted a Tyco Turbo Hopper with โ€œHeads up Steeringโ€ so bad, when I was a kid.

  19. back in the early 2000s i bought my first gas powered car. first model to come out with a 1.7-1.9cc i could be completely remembering wrong. it was the biggest ill put it that way. long story short not 15 seconds of driving it i ran into a big rock and broke the right side upper A arm. lol

  20. Bit late, but the Core RC 2s lipos are an exact fit for the old ni-mh chassis cars. No file needed!

  21. James Rose says:

Was just randomly served this video, and loved it, I remember the Manta Ray! Question, I bought a Tamiya Loctite Zexel Skyline GT-R (R34) – #58269 back when it came out (was on my way to buy a PlayStation 2 and passed an independent RC car shop!), built it but its never been used for more than about 100m of movement to test it. Is it worth anything? Can't seem to find any information on second hand prices.

  22. My first car was a Schumacher Boss Cat, which must have pre-dated the Cougar.

  23. Craig Green says:

That Cobra hung well with the 4wd's.

  24. I remember an old buddy of mine , likely around 1989 that had an RC-10 and he thought he was the shit . I asked for a hobby radio controlled car for my 12th birthday but ended up getting a ready to go Nikko 4wd Hurricane from Radio Shack that my Dad bought me for my birthday because he said hobby kit cars always break so you won't have the money to repair it being a kid and that you'll enjoy the Nikko alot more as it was actually dependable .

Dad was right as the RC-10 although fast when it worked would usually run for about 15 minutes before it had issues lol , my buddy hardly ever used the thing as it sat in his closet but my Nikko always worked 100% and my dad was right . I still have the Nikko with the original box 30+ years later and it still works after being hammered on for many hours at the time by 12-14 year old me ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ other than having to get new batteries and its quick for what it was .

  25. My first rc car was in 1984. It was a team associated RC-10. You Brought back some great memories.

  26. Vintage? Ive driven those as a childโ€ฆ โ€ฆ โ€ฆ fakkkk!

  27. I remember watching you do carpet racing a while ago and no offence you didn't seem very great at carpet track. I don't know if you have been doing it more or you just don't record it as much but you have improved drastically. I could be wrong maybe you was always decent at it and I just missed the videos :P. Either or great job on this race and sorry if it sounds negative it in no means is intended that way! Love your videos and keep it up!!

  28. I had sooo much fun with my Tamiya Hornet & Blackfoot

  29. Banton85 says:

My first rc car was a tyco wild thing probably 1995

  30. Seems like brushed motors should be required in this class โ€ฆand a voltage limit. My Technigold powered Boomerang would be trounced by any of these and it kept up back in the day. I donโ€™t think itโ€™s driveline could handle modern brushless power anyway to be honest.

  31. Still got an old cougar 2 works with Futaba radio gear in the cupboard.
    The off white, clunky handset.

  32. Love a good vintage. Anyone remember the 1:8 Flying Point Probe with the adjustable rear wing or the Mardave Marauder? Still have mine. Scared to use them these days Incase they break.

  33. Tamiya is the RC car I grew up with you know lunch box, hornet and rc10 aluminum chassis and the grasshopper and I still love them all

  34. My 1985 associated rc-10 would give them a run for their money I believe. Making me wanna dig it out of closet and bring it back to life.

  35. Willywonka36 says:

Can you make more carpet buggy plz๐Ÿ˜ข

  36. That reminds me of old race car races

  37. Frank Maze says:

Good to see more than bashing and breaking.

  38. Tony Jeffery says:

I have the same screw driver from my dad for fixing my first rc how funny mine was a Tamiya hornet
