I'm doing the wide maxx v2 on my maxx right now an have to swap the outer stubs to the extended shafts.. first try with only the flat I cut my hand open haha daughter was OMG!!! Thanks for your Video! Thatโs how I have been doing it, but the drone motor e-clips are super tiny, so I guess I will just have to use super tiny screwdrivers. You do make it look easy!

This is a proven method and one I have used, however it does have a high chance of damaging the metal. That is very bad if you are building parts that have very tight tolerances.
E clips is Traxxas most stupid idea ever
So doing the widemaxx conversion on my maxx. I am shaking my head at traxxas engineering when they put the e-clips on the drive shafts. They are so small and thereโs absolutely zero room between the clip and the pin making it extremely hard to do. I was able to get two off, but the rear clips are impossible
