Don't know if I said it before but the front of the hbx is from ftx surge, and also now most shops in UK sell hbx among other names like hosim, xinglehong 9125 under the name funtec, so parts available in UK and cheap ish.
Btw my hbx 12815 I've done brushless with a modified drive train, all metal except the planetary gears in the diffs.

The RC car hobby isn’t big enough but people like Kev are helping influence more people to take up the hobby. Love your vids and I really want to see that with a brushless motor.
I love the budget mods. Start with a great entry car, then build it up with some cheap upgrades (diffs) then work your way into wheels and maybe a brushless motor or higher capacity battery system. You could do a whole series on these!
