They need cameras under the air intake (driver's helmet) or on top: a-la F1 TV in-car view. And some FPV goggles. Would be next-level.

Get a Hamster, put some little goggles on him and see what he could turn for lap times. You could try hiring a Gerbil driver but let's be honest, they're known to be prima donna's, they're often nip at the pit crew and quite frankly I don't think they have the same will to win as Hamster's have.

For all the tweaking and tire warming and suspension they dont seem to get much traction. Not stuck to the track very well at all. Cool cars just thought they would perform a little better.
When you want to be a F1 driver but it's a bit over your budget.

I can't stand all the blipping of the throttle. An ideal way to upset the car.
I used to race 10th scale electric buggies & touring cars, and I had a petrol 1/5th scale FG Beetle.
Parked them to go clubman rallying, as the cost was similar. The best advice I ever heard was from Jackie Stewart. It applies to RC as much as full size, "Never get on the gas until you know that you never have to get off it again."

Those little SOB's are BADASS WAS mesmerized by the track action, engines sound. Almost as good as full scale racing but a lot cheaper no doubt
