Hey.. serious question… why braces on top and not on the bottom is an alignment of bite issue where you need the top set before the bottom.. just curious..not trying to be a dick..
Would locked diffs be better or worse?
Would putting a hydrophobic coating on the wheels help?

You should try a angled design on the fins on the wheels
Have Hydrofoils on the front two wheels that move down when you change from land to water maybe it'll work (I'm thinking out side the box here)🤔
Too back heavy. Effectively its only 2WD on the water. Work on the balance.

you can buy paddle tires for an rc car ( also I would recommend using a Traxxas Maxx, Xmaxx, or Hoss)
As someone that lives in Iceland, this is not a new thing except here we do it life size with 1000hp Formula Offroad trucks.
Maybe the tires are too hard? Water is hard if You hit it fast. The car jumps too much (especially on day 2), looses speed and sinks. Softer tires with twice the shovels (but half in size) wound probably easier to drive on water.

You should try putting a slight "gear" formation on the rims and tires so they slide into eachother and absolutely cant let any slip from the tim to tire
