5k for what, I do competition drifting with rc's and I only spent 1k out the door, 5k is absolutely ridiculous, my goblin helicopter is way more sophisticated than these, and it was 3k out the door, not 5k!!

Being in the Rc hobby for an few years now, you don't really need and expensive Rc drift car to have fun or be competitive.
I got Full carbon fibre and aluminium drift car which is upwards of almost $1800 then I also got an basic HSP flying which I converted to rwd and build my own carbon fiber chassis, bought an brushless setup and gyro and relocated the motor for better weight distribution and in totall it really costs an fraction of the exspensive car and is just as fun.
