BU: How to Established up a Gyro on Your rc car Working with the Hobbyking HK401B Gyro

As requested by a couple of guys on my channel here is a how-to on setting up a flying gyro on your rc car. I use the HobbyKing HK401B but the information almost certainly performs for all gyros like it. Make sure you get a gyro that is ACVS or ACVS & Headlock not one particular that is Headlock only. Headlock gyros do not perform on rc cars. Permit me know if you require any a lot more assistance in the feedback or message me by using my channel get hold of facts or on RCSpeedRunHub.com.

You can get the gyro I use in this article at HobbyKing.com:

I understand this video is 5yo and trust you no longer use any rigid plastic ties to security your Gyro to the chassis as this induces/propagates the road vibrations through it and effects the gyro's (sensitiviy noise). If you do not trust the double sided tape, use an elastic band instead, but do not over tighten it… Just snug enough to hold it from "flying" away at high speed, i.e. do not pin it downtime against the frame. Using good quality 3M double sided tape should be more than enough, assume your shock absorbers setup is good and the Gyro is protect against accidental knocks. Using a lighter car specific gyro could help the Gyro inertia if that is your main concern, but these are very light when comparision with the adhesion force of a good tape. I would even recommended using a thicker double sided foam tape to reduce the vivrations even more.

Good video, just DON"T use a ZIP tie. Double sided foam tape is good. Reduces the vibration transmitted to the Gryo.

Great video, thanks for sharing. One thing: The documentation for the HK401B says: "Use double sided foam tape and never use cable ties. " Just wondering why you stressed cable ties so much in the video?
