Putting DS o gamepass isnt sony move, lets be honest. its all 505 games
King I do have faith in MS, but they’re in the gutter right now. They were up by half a million consoles on the ps5 in the beginning of the year and now down by half a million. So no the series s is not selling, it’s on shelves. Gamepass growth has stalled as well, no updates since Jan 2022 even at fiscal year end. So yeah it hasn’t even gotten to 30 mil. Probably because dollar deals expired and there’s pretty much zero high value games including first party in 2022. MS has had to come out and actually introduce a family plan to make it even cheaper to get people to sub. Luckily they have billions in the bank that they can subsidize this forever.

Got to disagree with Lord Sov. Remaking/remastering them for that ficticious modern audiences is only a road to faillure, and we see that all over the board. And we finally see spread over various E industries scheduled woke content and hijacked ip's are being canceld, not to mention it pretty much ruined everything it touched. Not mention they people never put their money where thei mouth are. This gen Im pretty sure gaming will face the same kind of loses comics and cinnema have been forced to take to cater to this inmaginary demographic. Statista's 2021 research into gaming demographics and who spends the most exosed once more that myth that is the "modern global adience".
Personally I dont buy the rhetoric making games is becoming impossibly expensive, I mean obviously it aint easy & cheap. As long as we dont have a good insight in what their actual production cost are, and we never talk about things like secret tax rullings, hardly paying any taxes of the record profits, subsides, the low cost of global labour, savings for going digital, big companies always having acces to dirt cheap capital, ISDS courts, etc etc. I simply refuse to get along with this narrative that everything is becoming impossibly expensive, plus multinationals/transnational always are of the opinion production costs are to high.
Honestly without the nemesis system lotr is not that relevant to me personally.
