  1. Traxxas told me they "only" work with major magazine publishers they dont provide product for youtubers!!

  2. Finally someone besides Kev actually took time to explain everything that goes into making the videos we all love!
You said it best! The most valuable thing on earth isn’t money or RC cars or YouTube followers! It’s time! If I invest my time to watch your channel that means I trust what your saying and will listen to your opinions! I don’t have to like them but at least they are honest and forthcoming! Very much appreciated! Keep up the great work!
P.S. I know it was awhile ago but your RC parade was probably the greatest thing I’ve ever seen done for the RC community and the Hobby itself! Big props bro!

  3. Voodoofire1 says:

Doesn’t bother me that you get free cars, what does though is that these companies get great “commercials” made by YouTubers for nothing… extremely expensive cars and parts…… and free advertising…. They look good in reviews, but not as durable in real life…. Free prepped cars?…. Maybe RC companies DO lie.

  4. hey mark! is the sledge going to take the erevo's place in terms of your videos?

  5. Mr Rootsfull says:

If you get cars for free you are under the influence of the person/company that has given you the car. You are saying that that has no influence on your opinion. Well, that is impossible. That would mean that you are not human.
As i said before, watch influencers/youtubers all you want…..just see through their opinions! They are biased if they get stuff for free! I watch these channels also but i don't believe anything they say. In my case it's just like watching traditional tv shows, it's horsesh*t but it's very entertaining if you realize that it is what it is.

  6. Andy Vega says:

Great job bro. Keep the awesome content coming.

  7. Unfortunately the incentive is that if you slam a particular model you might not be on the top of the list to get the next one. That affects your content, and in turn your income. Not you specifically. I've been in this hobby for (hate to say it) close to 40 years now. When I got back in a couple year ago I was FLOODED by the great reviews of the Losi Lasernut. Unfornunately I bought that turd. Lesson learned…. They all get it, they all give good reviews at first, and after a while the REAL reviews come out.

  8. Hoosier_ RC says:

I don’t like when YouTubers make videos like this.. just stick with what you do. There is no point or advantage for making videos directed to your “haters” or whatever trying to get your side across. The internet always wins…

  9. What about the other content creators on YouTube saying that that’s what they do?.

  10. Ohmyqwad says:

Love your videos man and I know you don’t have a bias either way but I can think of a couple channels off hand that get a free car to review and they want more to come so they make it sound like the best rig ever. I’ve heard multiple youtubers complain about not getting another car after a bad review so I know companies do that.

It’s also not uncommon for larger channels to make some serious money, like quit your day job and record videos all day money. So while I do appreciate your honesty and hard work on this channel, I’m still aware this happens.

  11. It’s mainly the older guys who are not familiar with YouTube or Youtubers on how it works.

  12. Jaypopsti says:

Ask Vas with Aussie RC playground

  13. If they get it for free they wont be unbiased that's just how it is!

  14. Ty Woods says:

Whats a 400$ or 500$ car you would buy similar to sledge ???

  15. Chris White says:

Dude if its so stressful and hard to make youtube videos about rc cars then dont do it. Quit acting like you aren't making money doing this. You whine more than any youtuber I watch about making videos. If you arent enjoying it then don't make them. You arent providing any information that people cant find somewhere else.

  16. Anonymous says:

Well said Mark !! Thanks for all your YouTubing learned a lot from you!! Been into RC for about 2 years now My husband and I we have a lot of fun now trying to also get into some buggy racing for this summer!! Keep on doing what you do !!😊

  17. Fat Boy RC says:

Great job mark ..loved it keep up the great work

  18. SeeJayAre says:

I have also done several videos for large RC brands, I have never been told what to say or had to get approval on footage… From what I know, nobody is being paid for a collaboration outside of receiving the product for review. Also, I don't think there's anything wrong with being paid to promote a product as long as the creator is upfront about it… Couldn't be a "review" video, more of a product highlight. Just for reference, a YouTuber/Influencer the size of Mark would typically be paid $1,000 – 2,000 plus the product for a single YouTube video and a few social posts. Traxxas is getting one hell of a deal for a creator to dedicate that much time and effort to produce multiple videos/social posts for a "free" car.

  19. Jim Lovewell says:

Do people watch videos of new cars, then come on here to call you (insert manufacturer here) Fanboy? Is it really something people need to do? “I’m gonna write this comment to Mark and he’s really gonna feel the burn coming from my thumbs”

Get a life, and find better things to write on the internet.

  20. Couldn’t explain it better my self. I’m a new channel, have only gotten a few freebies and have never been told not to give an honest review on video. As far as having fun Rc-ing with no camera… I really miss those days. 😝 far and few between. You can’t have the same kind of fun running Rc’s when making content. Too many factors and angles to worry about. Then get home and go right to editing. Which takes a huge amount of time! Glad you put this out there bro!🙏🏼💥👊🏼😎

  21. LKN CATFISH says:

can you just put the first word as CRY in this type of video. i like your videos until you CRY in these type videos. then i will know to not watch it and just wait for your next Good video…. Thx

  22. this is why we love your channel you are honest every rc car has its flaws just like us as humans for me as long as i can send it and it dosent break into a million bits ill buy it keep up the good work love the vids

  23. I was the one on the post with you yesterday on fb. Glad you came out with this

  24. Michael Cain says:

Well wouldn’t it be more beneficial to the rc car company for you to find and point out the faults in the cars , because then they can improve on it . If you just said every car was Perfect no progress would be made in the rc world

  25. Seng Lee Koh says:

Reviews are more believable from those that buy their own, especially when they get it once the hype goes away in like two months. If the manufacturers are smarter, the free cars they hand out to influencers must be cherry-picked, and even better also do a once-over inspection. So imagine what the quality will be like for the retail release if we see loose screws, loose pinions, etc. out of the box

  26. Absolutely right what you said. In germany its the same thing. When i buy a car myself its ok what i said but when i get a car like the fireteam free to review all i say has to be a lie. Its frustrating sometimes

  27. Sean L says:

I take all reviews where the reviewer received the product for free or early with a grain of salt. No matter how much someone says they remain unbiased in those situations it’s impossible. At the end of the day it is a “paid” review. You get paid for the amount of people that click on the video and in the value of the product received.

I believe people are mostly being honest but I also believe they are holding back to not upset fanboy viewers and to not upset the company.

  28. The fact that anyone cares about what brand someone likes is just bananas! Everyone has their preference in every Genre of your lives!

  29. People are sooooo gullible. Just keep on doing what your doing Mark….. especially the racing part with your son.

  30. The_RC_Dude says:

I totally believe you Mark, I have a tendency to pick out the “best” YTers in a specific hobby/community, after I watched 5 of your videos, I knew, this guy is good! It must be hard, and annoying to have to “faff” about with cameras, angles, mics, speech, etc, when you’re just driving! I’m not a YTer so when I drive, it’s just for fun.

Thanks for getting the Sledge review out so fast, no pressure though! It seems like today the haters are just really on it, I have seen 3 whole videos now, including this one (You, BeyondRC, and Kevin Talbot in their recent videos), about this whole “influencers get free stuff vs. guys who buy their own stuff” thing!

  31. packerbacker says:

The companies rather pay 'real enthusiast ' with rc cars instead paying suit and tie guy knowing minimum bout hobby…..in the end MUCH CHEAPER for companies to do this way

  32. ZeuZ says:

I'm pretty sure if the youtubers that were given free cars straight up blasted the company and the car that was given to them they would stop receiving free rc's lol. Give me free rc's and i'd gladly stay in their happy spot all day too lol.

  33. hankmax76 says:

I love your videos. Let the hatters, hate.

  34. What's funny but not, is every rc youtuber I watch has made one of these videos at some point haha. Don't get too caught up in the hate, life's too short.

  35. Matthew Simm says:

Well said Mark! Unfortunately i see other Youtubers use this to either confirm a bias or make their opinions seem more valid then those who received a product for free.

  36. There's no such thing as a free lunch 🚗

  37. Bryan Rupple says:

Do your thing, ignore the haters!

  38. Sometime people don’t nthg to do but be negative all the time, Mark do ur thing and stay focus Calvin frm va

  39. Gino S says:

I think a lot of people forget how much time spent goes into recording and editing a video. How many countless tries to get the "right shot". What it takes to get a clear steady up close recording of a vehicle in motion ( especially if it's a fast vehicle or a side by side perspective while running a course or bashing ). I always try to give compliments, when I remember, on the editing and clarity of the video.

It's easy to criticize a vehicle you are already biased against because of the brand or make a negative comment to a content creator because they don't share your opinion on a brand or vehicle. At times I think it's jealousy or people have the wrong impression of certain content creators because of the quantity of vehicles they own and they’re just looking for something personal criticize.

The hobby is inclusive and there is something for everyone, no matter the brand or what type of vehicle you drive or fly. Have fun and enjoy it.

  40. lol put the camera on your head we don't want to see you,,, im a rc fan boy. they all have there purpose , from cheap to junk and back. it;s all in the fun and im not going to waste time making vids. not my gig and my computer is 15 yrs old. my money goes to parts and new stuff. also no internet at the house maybe they will put it out here one day, and my starlink well probably get that by the time elon gets too mars, then a big solar flare will kill it.
